# Profiling

> Finding where a NYXDB query spends its time — progress frames, query statistics and EXPLAIN.

- `EXPLAIN` prints the plan of a statement.
- On a WebSocket session, a running request reports progress frames; see
  [Query lifecycle](/docs/drivers/query-lifecycle).
- `system.query_stats` and `system.query_history` record each query's work.
