# Production checklist

> The checks before and after a NYXDB deployment goes live.

## Before go-live

- Every node starts with its configuration and data directory, and
  `GET /auth/issuers` lists the `password` and `api_key` issuers.
- Users and roles exist for every person and service; each service signs in
  with its own API key.
- Federation sources report `ready` in `system.sources`.

## At launch

- Transformations report healthy revisions in `system.transformation_revisions`.
- Streams deliver: `system.psi_streams` shows each subscription's lag.

## Steady state

- Watch write pressure and WAL growth in `system.storage`.
- Read `system.telemetry_metrics` and `system.health_signals`; see
  [Metrics and events](/docs/operations/metrics-events).
